Bringing a pocketful of sunshine to Birmingham
Four new Pocket Parks have opened in the city – small, underused areas that have been transformed to create flourishing green spaces where local residents can come to meet, play and relax in nature.
The Pocket Parks have been developed in partnership with the National Trust and Birmingham City Council, alongside four community groups who have participated in the co-creation, design and planting of their green space:
- free at last – Nechells
- Friends of Seven Streets Pocket Park – Balsall Heath
- 260th Birmingham Scout Group – Tyseley
- Khawateen Creative Minds – Hay Mills
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. #UKSPF
