Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC Shortlisted for Excellence in Creative Impact Award

September 7, 2025

We’re delighted to share some exciting news — Rudge Wood Horticulture CIC has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Creative Impact award at the Social Economy Awards 2025!

This recognition shines a spotlight on the incredible work of founders Darren and Helen, whose passion for horticulture goes far beyond plants and gardens. Through their teaching at the Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture, and their wider community projects, they’re committed to helping people grow — in confidence, in skills, and in wellbeing.

At the heart of Rudge Wood Horticulture is a simple but powerful belief: horticulture can change lives. Whether it’s transforming community spaces, supporting individuals on their learning journey, or bringing people together through shared green projects, Darren and Helen’s work is making a real difference.

Being shortlisted for this award is not just a recognition of their hard work, but a celebration of the positive impact horticulture can have on communities across the region.

We’re so proud to see Rudge Wood Horticulture recognised on this stage — and we look forward to celebrating with all the incredible organisations making change happen through the social economy. ????
